Fall is coming sooner than we think. And with it comes all sorts of activities and fun things to do. The Fauntleroy Community Association is sponsoring “The Great Pumpkin Search” on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 2 to 5 pm. The Association will have a booth set up in the square across from Endolyne Joe’s. The actual search will take place on the streets that spoke out from that square. There will be little pumpkins, easy to find for the little ones and larger pumpkins for the grown-ups who come. As a bonus, there will be special pumpkins to find in various locations. This is a first come, first serve event so don’t wait too long. This will be a fun way to spend the afternoon. Also just as we needed volunteers for the Spring Egg Hunt, we need to ask you again if you would like to come and help hide the pumpkins. If interested, please contact Candace Blue, 209-401-8406, email@example.com
Please join us on Tuesday June 7th at Endolyne Joe’s for our annual Fall Festival fundraiser! Joe’s will be donating a portion of their sales from the day to the festival, and we will have baskets for a raffle available starting at 5pm. Names will be drawn at 8pm, and you do not need to be present to win!
We are looking forward to bringing the festival back to all of its glory for 2022!
See you Tuesday at Joe’s!
Join us at the Fauntleroy Schoolhouse on Tuesday May 3 from 6-8 pm when the FCA Food Fest and Annual Meeting returns after a two-year pause. Enjoy free tastings from local eateries and learn about the efforts of Fauntleroy volunteers and local organizations. The FCA Annual Meeting at 7 pm will be brief and will include the election of board members.
We’ll be observing current King County recommendations for masking and distancing including meeting in a larger room to allow for plenty of flow between tables.
Bring your friends and family to experience the best of Fauntleroy!
This is a late moment reminder to send comments from Fauntleroy to Sound Transit for its DEIS public comment period. Though Fauntleroy may be distant from the construction zones between West Marginal and Alaska Junction, these issues are relevant to FCA.
DEIS comments are due to Sound Transit by 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28. You can email your comments to WSBLEDEIScomments@soundtransit.org, post them online through https://wsblink.participate.online/, or call them in to voicemail at 1-800-471-0879.
Many issues may be important to Fauntleroy residents. For example, if you are employed in the Harbor Island-West Marginal area, or in North Delridge (from the Skylark to the Frye Business Center), those areas are slated for business displacement or teardown. It’s similar for other businesses through Avalon to the Junction, and the newly-built Spruce or Maris apartment buildings are slated for teardown, along with Trader Joe’s and L.A. Fitness, to make way for the three, two block-long light rail stations that Sound Transit proposes.Read More...
